Tres Amigas is a transmission development company that is building an innovative superstation in northeast New Mexico to interconnect the three major transmission grids (eastern, western and Texas) for the first time to allow power to flow freely throughout the United States. This project will enable a significant increase in power generation from renewable energy sources, which is currently limited by the country's inadequate power transmission.
